Lucie Wheeler

Lucie Wheeler, P. Eng, MBA

President

Lucie Wheeler is the co-founder of Sweet Gazoil and the inventor/co-inventor on the company’s patents. Being the first woman refinery engineer for Shell, she has over 35 years of chemical engineering experience in the fields of oil refining, heavy oil and bitumen upgrading. She has been a consultant specializing in waste oil treatment for over 15 years, working on many used oil processes (UOP, distillation, cracking) in Canada, US, Poland, France, Ireland, Spain, Russia, Oman, Turkey and Egypt. She has a French Baccalaureate in Mathematics from the University of Caen (France), a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science – Chemical Engineering from l’École Polytechnique de Montréal (the Engineering School of the University of Montreal), and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Calgary, Canada (Dean’s List). She also has been a member of APEGA (the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta) for over 25 years.

Louis Bertrand, Ing., Adm.A., MBA, FCMC

Vice-President

Louis Bertrand is the co-founder of Sweet Gazoil and the co-inventor on many of the company’s patents. He has over 30 years of experience in finance, accounting, administration, and business development. He has worked in a range of business environments, from director of planning and analysis for a division of one of the largest banks in Canada to Vice-President of finance and administration for privately held corporations. As a consultant, he specialized in finance and marketing, and was named for exceptional contribution at the Business Development Bank of Canada. He has a French Baccalaureate in Mathematics from the University of Caen (France), a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from l’École Polytechnique de Montréal and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University. He is a fellow Certified Management Consultant.
